Aurora

Aurora Aksnes born 15th June 1996 Stavanger is a Norwegian music writer and singer. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves, came out in May 2015 on Decca Records to great approval from music journalists and media. She has recorded several high-profile cover songs, including Half the World Away (by Oasis), from the group Oasis) to accompany John Lewis' Christmas advert as well as Nature Boy (by Nat King Cole), which were widely appreciated. The singer gained further attention from a post by Katy Perry where Perry endorsed her song Runaway. Celebrate her special day. Aurora Aksnes first musical memory was discovering a piano within her loft and being intrigued by its sounds. Jan Oystein Aksnes, her parents, May Britt Aksnes and Jan Oystein Aksnes, encouraged their daughter to learn music for a love rather as a career. The singer began to write songs of her own. She credits Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen as well as Bjork for being among her inspirations. Her mom encouraged her to play her music publicly, not so that she could achieve fame, but rather to help others realize how important they are and what they can do for the world. The mother of her child suggested that she sing her songs in public to help people realize their importance and the ways they could impact the world. The family members didn't know about it until she turned fourteen. Aurora wasn't a dream. She just loves to write songs. She believes that music is the most effective method of feeling anything.
