Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn is an American actress. Her most famous role is Skyler White on the AMC drama Breaking Bad, for which she received the Primetime Emmy Award in 2013 as well as 2014 in the category of Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series. She performed the roles of Jean Ward and Martha Bullock as well in The Practice. Anna Gunn grew up in Sante Fe New Mexico and was awed by acting when she was in Preparatory School. In the late 70's, she and her family moved to Ohio. Anna attended the British American Drama Academy and studied theatre through Northwestern University. Anna performed in Chicago's theater for many years prior to attempting TV and movie roles. In 1992, Anna landed her first big character as Arden in the series of 29 episodes Down the Shore. She also guest-starred on the show. appeared in Seinfeld and NYPD Blue. It was not until the end of the 1990s when she was cast in a role in The Practice. The mid-2000's saw her was given the role of Deadwood playing Martha Bullock for two full seasons. Skyler appeared in Breaking Bad (2008). Sully as well as Deadwood was another film she appeared in. Gunn also took to the stage in a David Schwimmer's production Sex With Strangers. The actress starred as Numbered Days, a four-part audio series that was released that will air in 2022. Breaking Bad is often centered around the love story of Walter White with his wife Skyler. Their conflicted relationship and final break-up echoes the final years in Walter White's story.
